Mayor Bloomberg announces an additional $220 million for the global fight against tobacco during the 2012 World Conference on Tobacco or Health. Building on six years of progress, Bloomberg Philanthropies’ four-year commitment will fund efforts to reduce the toll of tobacco in low- and middle-income countries, home to almost 80 percent of the world’s smokers.  Read the full press release here.
